School News – SNVP

20th August 2011 , Saturday, SNVP organised an Inter House Volleyball Tournament for classes IX & X in the premises. Semifinals were played between Vayu & Akash house ,  in which Akash house was the winner and between Jal & Prithvi house , Jal house was the winner. Then the final match was held between Akash & Jal House in which Akash house emerged as the winner of the tournament.

SNVP Principal congratulated the winning team and the match referees.

SNVP K.G. Section has celebrated Vegetable week from 9th August’ 2011 to 19th August’ 2011.

9th August was celebrated as Peas day.
11th August was celebrated as Tomato Day.
12th August was celebrated as Onion and Capsicum Day.
13th August was celebrated as Lemon day.
16th August was celebrated as Ladyfinger day.
17th August was celebrated as Cucumber day.
18th August was celebrated as Brinjal day.
 
Teachers taught students about these vegetable like what is the shape and colour of different vegetables, what is the taste of each vegetable, in which form we can eat them and they make us health etc. Children are getting knowledge on each of these vegetable and also enjoying the taste of few vegetables like tomato, cucumber, onion by eating them in the form of salad.

Students of the Kinder Garten Section had learned about the various features of these vegetable with fun activity.

 



Today, On 19^th August’ 2011, Kinder Garden Section of S.N.V.P. celebrated the festival of Janmashtmi. Every boy K.G. Section comes in the get up of Krishna and every girl student comes in the get up of Radha. Students also performed a group dance on a song based of Raslila of Lord Krishna “Maiya Shashoda ye tera kanhiy…”. Students shown very good performance and show their faith among the festivals of India. Children even cut the cake to celebrate lord Krishna’s birthday and enjoying a lot.

Hathi Ghoda Pal ki Jai Kanhiya Lal ki

15th August 2011, Monday. SNVP celebrated the auspicious day of Independence Day by remembering the legendary freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for letting us breathe the air of freedom. The hon’ble Chief Guest of the function was Brigadier Shri D.K Badola who is a great army person and a wonderful human being. He commenced the programme by lighting the lamp. Then was the time to hoist the national flag which is a symbol of India’s unity, prosperity & integrity. The esteemed Chief Guest hoisted the flag along with hon’ble Director Mr. Vishal Jain which was followed by the national anthem. The whole campus was dipped in the tri-colours of the national flag which made the ambience look so elegant and beautiful.

The students depicted their feeling of patriotism through some fabulous presentations in form of songs, dances, speeches & skits etc which had a pinch of their love, devotion and regard for their motherland.

In his speech, the estemed Chief Guest stated the importance of this national festival in every Indian’s life and also reminded the students of their duties as responsible citizens of this country.

SNVP had also organized their Investiture Ceremony for the Students’ Council on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day. The Chief Guest administered the oath in which the members of the Students’ Council swore to discharge their duties in the best of their abilities. Then they were given badges and sachets through the auspicious hands of the hon’ble Chief Guest, Director Sir, Principal & Vice-Principal of SNVP. On behalf of the whole Students’ Council, the head boy Deepanshu Tyagi & head girl Vaishali Pilania thanked the administration for making them a part of the Students’ Council and giving them an opportunity of serving their school.

Mr. Vishal Jain expressed his gratitude towards Shri D.K Badola for taking out time from his busy schedule and being a part of this grand occasion. He also presented a memento to the Chief Guest as a token of love from the school’s side.

Sweets were distributed in the end to the students as well as staff members after which everyone dispersed towards their homes to continue the celebration of freedom.
