On 23rd July 2011 the students of SNVP went to the Nageen Prakashan Printing  Press. It was an amazing and fascinating experience for all the students. The students of class 6th were taken for the printing press visit.

The impeccable ambience of the  printing press caught the attention and impressed a lot of students. The students were lined outside and then after some time the children were taken inside the printing press area .

Printing machine  was shown to the students . This machine threw special mercury light that passed through the negative and it fell on the aluminum sheet and all the information was printed on the metal sheet.

A special machine kept in another room helped the employees to get a direct output from the Computer. Only a few of the students were allowed to see it because that machine was very sensitive.

The students were then shown a big machine which was attached to the main computer named When all the information was printed on the aluminum sheet then these sheets were placed on a machine with two rollers and a roll of paper was also attached to the machine.

The printing of the paper was done by the machine and the printed papers were collected in a machine which was known as the ‘stocker’. The last part which was shown to the students was the place where the rolls of paper which was used for printing were kept.

The visit to the printing press was very enlightening and informative for the students and everyone enjoyed the visit immensely.

LETS’ RUN TOGETHER………

“A healthy mind can stay in a healthy body only”. Good health is the greatest asset for an individual.

Shanti Niketan Vidyapeeth strongly believes in this thought. That’s why a Cross Country Race is being planned for the students and their parents, keeping in mind the importance of good health. As the first step towards the Cross Country Race, Shanti Niketan Vidyapeeth suggests the wards and their parents to go for a jog in the morning hours to maintain a fit body and a peaceful heart which will result in a long and better life.

The suggested distance for the morning jog is as follows:

Classes 1 to 3 – 1 Km

Classes 4 & 5 – 2 Km

Classes 6 to 8 – 3 Km

Classes 9 & 10 – 4 Km

Classes 11 & 12 – 5 Km

This jog in the morning will not only ensure improved learning and understanding power of the students as well as will also improve their stamina.

Therefore, parents are requested to take out little time from their busy schedule to take a morning jog with their children to motivate them towards better health and future.

Lets all start ……………….
